First Steps of Wedding Planning

You may have seen some wedding planning checklists, but here is a “checklist before the checklist!”

Did you recently get engaged? Congrats!! This is an exciting time. Your mind is probably wedding-focused now, so here are a few things to think about.

Before the planning truly begins, remember that are so any details that go into planning a wedding so why not find ways to keep things in order? Maybe you have folders for each vendor or possibly even a checklist. There are so many companies that offer wedding checklists but one of our favorites is WeddingWire’s checklist tool.

First, consider the time of year you’d like to say ‘I do’. There might be a season in which you’ve always pictured yourself walking down the aisle. Or you may have never thought about the time of year you’d prefer.

You might consider a spring or winter wedding, as many of your friends or family members might be choosing dates in the summer/fall. By choosing a different season, you could guarantee more RSVPs and potentially get some venue/vendor discounts!
