The Crystal Catering team recently flew to San Francisco to research culinary trends and get a whole lot of inspiration to bring back to The Crane Bay. Our journey continues in part two of our trip blog.
A trip to San Fran without visiting Napa Valley would have been incomplete! Thankfully, Southern Wine and Spirits was kind enough to coordinate a tour and tasting of the Trinchero Winery. Afterward, a stroll around the quaint town of Calistoga and a dinner at Long Meadow Ranch in St. Helena ended the day on a great note.
Where there was fun, there was us! Between the 10 managers present there was a combined 150 years of service with the company. So, you could say the dynamic was more like family than co-workers. Leave it to the Crystal family to find fun at every site visited: wandering around the City Market finding local bites of perfection, watching the sea lions at Fisherman’s Wharf, hiking at the Marin Headlands to catch the best view of the Golden Gate Bridge, sailing on a ferry ride to Sausalito, going to jail at Alcatraz, and even carving out some time to see the Winter Fancy Food Fest!
The amount of knowledge and excitement packed into this three-day trip was unbelievable! On top of the food, wine, and sightseeing tours, our culinary adventures also included visits like Zuni Café and Chez Panisse. These restaurants use extraordinary techniques to present delicious food in colorful and appetizing ways. The trip has inspired us to dream big for our culinary adventures in 2018. Our mission at Crystal Catering is to provide restaurant-quality food in a banquet setting, which can be a challenge when crafting food for hundreds of guests at a time. These incredible experiences inspire us to be leaders of the catering industry in Indianapolis. The Crystal team is closer now than ever and united in our true passion for food! You’ll taste the results of our passion, teamwork, and continued education in every single bite. On to the next adventure!
